On the Badia "Viles" path

The "Tru dles Viles" path enables you to take a pleasant stroll to admire the most ancient settlements in Val Badia. The route starts in the village of La Villa and takes you through the hamlets of Badia, passing farms, meadows and woodlands along fairly flat paths. "Les Viles" are groups of dwellings characteristic of Val Badia, mainly consisting of homes with a stable and barn, arranged in a circle with communal facilities such as an oven, wood stores and water fountain in the middle. A wonderful example of a subsistence economy and of a collaborative lifestyle inherited from our ancestors. A 2.5hr walk suitable also for families, exploring the symbol of Ladin architecture that still inspires modern buildings in Alta Badia today.
